It is often said “it takes a village to raise a child” and I believe that the same can be said of pets. Companion animals are a vital part of a healthy and happy community and it is our responsibility as a community to ensure that all animals are treated with respect and care. Spaying and neutering is at the foundation of that care. It’s about more than being a responsible pet owner; it’s about being a responsible member of society.

As big fans of all creatures great and small, 3 o’clock designer Katie Goodz and I teamed up to produce this successful and impactful public awareness campaign for Bide Awhile Animal Shelter. We used humour, Kioko the dog, Zoe the cat, and photographer Riley Smith to get people across Nova Scotia talking about the “Fix the Problem” campaign.
